When the weather gets hot gazing into a lily pond does wonders to reduce the perceived temperature. I enjoyed this pond at a local park. I like how the pink/purple overtones contrast with the green. The lily pads and stems of the iris provide great texture, and the flowers give just the right pop of color.
Looks like a lovely place to visit. Do you all have water hyacinth out there? we had them in our pond. They are about the only thing I miss now with the pondless waterfall. I tried water iris but they never took.
Don’t know if water hyacinth do well this far north. I know the pond in the photo has irises which aren’t at their best right now.
