Today is Black Friday in the shopping world, and I am being inundated with sales pitches. I understand that many crave the latest tech gadget, but consider a piece of art as a different kind of gift this holiday season. There are in person craft and gift fairs in many places, and numerous artists have special online offers.
As it’s been a while since I featured my work that’s for sale, here’s a reminder that I am offering several of my pieces on my blog. They range in size from small to medium large, with corresponding prices. For a limited time I am offering free domestic ground shipping. Below are a few examples of what’s on offer.

Please email me at snarkyquilter@gmail.com if you have questions or would like further information.
I’m linking to Off The Wall Fridays.
I hope you sell these pieces. Each so different from the other, they are wonderful!
Thanks for your good wishes. Selling my work is an experiment. We’ll see how it goes.
Greetings,
I agree with you about gifts. I make many of my gifts. and those I don’t make, I purchase from artists, mostly local. We live in Santa Fe, NM, and there are so many artists of various genres. I have also reduced my gift list quite a bit. Most folks don’t need more stuff, so I decided this year to make donations to causes and let them know in a Christmas card. I donate to smaller causes such as local libraries, Meals on Wheels, volunteer fire departments, and also to a few larger organizations with designated donations. For the larger ones I research to see how much is spent on admin vs the actual cause. This year I added another one because I found out that here in the US there are school kids going without eating because they don’t qualify for free meal programs and their parent(s) can’t afford to pay for school meals every day. I have several nieces who work in schools and told me there is a real need. I’m going to choose their schools to donate to as their Christmas gift.
Just wanted to share another take on not succumbing to the Buying Frenzy.
Have a wonderful & peaceful weekend, Kay
Kaywelch, That is so nice, thank you for sharing those ideas.
I found your comment wedged between marketing emails, so your thoughts are indeed apt. Also consider giving an experience rather than a physical object. My husband gave me a trip to a Frank Lloyd Wright house for my birthday, and I loved it.
Yes!
I think experience gifts are great. My Cowboy planned trips to Texas in the spring (combo birthday & Christmas for me) and also included renting a beach house so his youngest son & family could join us for part of our vacation. Fun times and great memories. They lived to far from us for regular visits.
